Exfoliator

An Exfoliator is a skincare product that removes dead skin cells from the surface of your skin. Exfoliation should be once or twice a week.

Lack of exfoliation leads to a build-up of dead skin cells and could result in dry, dull, patchy, flaky skin, clogged pores, with uneven skin tone.
In order to unclog pores, avoid breakouts, improve skin texture, and promote the absorption of other skincare products, exfoliation is a crucial step in the skincare routine.

At Luvia Beauty we have exfoliation products such as Ren ready Daily Aha Tonic, Kale Lalu yAha Exfoliator, etc.

Exfoliator types:

Physical exfoliators: When applied to the skin, these abrasive particles or materials literally slough off dead skin cells. Scrubs, brushes, sponges, and exfoliating cloths are a few examples.
Chemical exfoliators: These include active substances including retinoids, enzymes, beta-hydroxy acids, and alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs, BHAs), which break down or weaken the bonds that hold dead skin cells together and make them easier to shed. Fruit enzymes, lactic acid, salicylic acid, and glycolic acid are examples of common chemical exfoliants.
Applying Exfoliators:

Frequency: How often you exfoliate depends on the kind of exfoliant you’re using and the type of skin you have. For most skin types, exfoliating one to three times a week is advised. It may be beneficial for people with sensitive or acne-prone skin to exfoliate less frequently.
Technique: When using physical exfoliators, gently massage the product in circular motions onto damp skin, taking care not to scrub too vigorously as this may irritate the skin. When using a chemical exfoliant, apply the solution to dry, clean skin and let it sit for the prescribed length of time before washing it off.
Sun Protection: Using sunscreen every day, especially after exfoliating, is essential to prevent UV damage to the skin because exfoliation can make the skin more sensitive to the sun.
