Peach & Lily Retinal For All Renewing Serum is a retinal-based anti-aging and skin-renewing serum formulated to improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, uneven texture, dullness, dark spots, and loss of firmness. It uses 0.1% encapsulated retinaldehyde alongside barrier-supporting and soothing ingredients designed to make a potent retinoid treatment more comfortable on the skin.
.Ectoin — the soothing component
One of the most interesting ingredients in this formula is ectoin, an extremolyte that helps protect the skin from environmental stress and supports the skin barrier.
Peach & Lily specifically formulated ectoin alongside retinal to help address retinoid-associated irritation and barrier disruption. The formula also contains bisabolol, another soothing ingredient.
. Ceramides & barrier support
The serum contains several barrier-supporting ingredients, including:
- Ceramide NP
- Ceramide AP
- Ceramide EOP
- Cholesterol
- Phytosphingosine
Together, these ingredients help support the skin’s protective barrier and moisture retention. This is particularly useful in a retinal formula because retinoids can sometimes cause dryness or sensitivity when first introduced.
. Hydrating ingredients
Despite being a treatment serum, the formula also has a moisturizing profile. It contains glycerin, butylene glycol, sodium hyaluronate, caprylic/capric triglyceride, cetearyl alcohol, and emollient oils to help keep the skin feeling soft and comfortable.
Sodium hyaluronate, a form of hyaluronic acid, helps attract moisture to the skin, while the emollient ingredients help reduce the dry, tight feeling that can sometimes accompany retinoid use.
. Heartleaf and botanical extracts
The formula also includes heartleaf (Houttuynia cordata) extract, along with botanical ingredients such as perilla, carrot root water, camellia, cloudberry, moringa, and other plant extracts.
Heartleaf is particularly associated with soothing and calming skincare, complementing the ectoin and ceramides in the formula.
