What is double cleansing?
Double cleansing basically means thoroughly washing your face with two cleansers. These two cleansers need to be two different cleansers. The first type of cleanser is an oil-based cleanser, the second type is a water-based cleanser.
An oil-based cleanser removes oil-based impurities such as makeup, sunscreen, sebum, and pollution. On the other have water-based cleansers remove sweat and grime. Oil-based cleansers ( double cleansing) we recommend using at night because of the makeup and all the pollutants during the day.
How to use?
For oil-based cleansers, apply on dry skin using dry hands. For water-based cleansers, you use on a wet face.
What oil cleansers can be used?
The cleansers you use all depend on your skin type. It is recommended to avoid cleansers with sulfates, they can strip natural oils. Also, another thing to note when choosing these cleansers is the pH level of the product. Try to find a cleanser with a similar pH skin level which is around 5.
If you are acne-prone, do not use any oil as this can further clog your pores. Best oil cleansers are those that emulsify when mixed with water. Emulsifying oil cleansers allow you to rinse off completely without leaving traces of dirty oils in your pores that could potentially clog and lead to more issues.
I know the next question is where do you get these cleansers. Worry no more. Here are at Luvia Beauty we got you.
